White:

Casamaro Rueda

Rueda, a regionin the northern part of Central Spain is known for fantastic white wines from the Verdejo grape variety. The Casamaro is clean and sensual on the nose displaying tropical aromas of pineapple that lead to big lovely powerful fruit, fresh grass and a subtle touch of fennel typical of Verdejo.  Soft attack of glycerine followed by fruity, fresh, citrus and sparkling sensations. This wine is great for your holiday party to pair with appetizers and lighter fish and vegetable dishes. 

Red:

Liveli Salento Primitivo

Primitivo, the genetic cousin to Zinfandel, is the most common red grape variety grown in Puglia, or better known as the “heel of the boot” in Italy. Liveli, arguably one of the best producers in the region, makes deliciously complex wines, representing the terrior of southern Italy. This Primitive is ruby red with a purplish rim, it is immediately intense on the nose with marked aromas of ripe and fleshy red fruits, notably cherries followed by spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg; in the mouth it is full, powerful, smooth and very long, with a well defined acid streak which makes it fresh and pleasing. This wine is fantastic paired with pizza, braised short ribs, or any pasta with a rich, red sauce. 

Alternate Red:

Lenore Syrah

Columbia Valley, Washington State has proved to one of the best places to grow Syrah, and Lenore is no exception. Sourced from several vineyards throughout the Yakima Valley and the Horse Heaven Hills, the 2013 Lenore Syrah is opulent and balanced, with its fruit forward attack and rounded, rich mid-palate texture. Aging in predominately neutral French oak maintains the bright berry and savory aromatics of this wild, gamey varietal. This wine pairs great with a hearty winter stew, roasted lamb, or braised short ribs.

Sparkling:

 

Graham Beck Brut

An all round crowd pleaser and extremely versatile bubbly made from classic sparkling varieties of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Chardonnay adds fruit and elegance while the Pinot Noir adds complexity and flavor. There are light yeasty aromas and secondary tones of limey fresh fruit on the nose with rich creamy complexity on the palate. The exceptionally fine mousse contributes freshness and finesse. This Graham Beck Brut is perfect bottle of bubbly to have on hand for all your holiday celebrations! 

Scarpetta Brut Rose

Scarpetta is the collaboration of Bobby Stuckey, master sommelier, and Lachlan Patterson, acclaimed chef, both from Colorado’s own Frasca Food in Wine in Boulder. Scarpetta wines are all sourced from Friuli, a small, mountainous region in north-easter Italy, and represent the typical style of Friulian wines. This Brut Rose is perfect for any party this holiday season! Scarpetta works with a vineyard in the Colli Orientali that is planted to old vine Franconia and Pinot Nero. This Sparkling Rosé is fresh and balanced with rose petals and ripe berries. It is great to have as an aperitivo or with a plate of salumi! 

Reds:

Perticaia Montefalco Rosso

Montefalco is one of Italy’s most fascinating wine region. Located in the heart of Umbria, Montefalco wines are known for their structure, intense aromas, and complexity. Patricia is a small winery who's focus is centered on quality while representing the terroir of Umbria. This rosso is a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino, and 15% Colorino, all harvested by hand. The wine has aromas of wild berries, raspberries, and blueberries, with a full and middle tannic body. It is a perfect match for cured meats, cheeses, and rich pasta dishes. 

Schild Shiraz

Sourced from a number of carefully selected estate vineyard parcels in an around Lyndoch and Rowland Flat, Schild Estate’s Barossa Shiraz is designed to reflect the soft elegant palate of Schild’s viticultural home in the Southern portions of the Barossa Valley. Unlike many much of the Shiraz from Australia, this wine has beautiful elegance and finesse. There are expressive aromas of plums, blueberries, raspberries, dark chocolate, and a touch of spice. This wine has a full mouthfeel, with firm tannins and a long finish. This is the perfect pairing for roasted lamb, pork or mature cheeses! 

Cadence Coda Red Blend

Candence, known for their Bordeaux-inspiredred wines, has vineyards in some of Washington state’s best locations. The Coda Red Blend is produced from grapes grown on the steep slopes of Red Mountain, arguably Washington’s most distinctive vitucultural area. The blend is composed of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. There are aromas of bright raspberries accompanied by the subtle wood spice notes and lovely Cabernet Franc floral accents. The palate is rich, plush, and silky textured yet retains surprising energy from the well balanced acidity.  Supple tannins caress the long finish as berries and spice refuse to let go. Pair this beautiful blend with roasted lamb, beef stroganoff, or a classic fillet mignon. 

Pentimento 

“Pentimento” is named for the memoir written in 1973 by outspoken New York playwright and farm owner Lillian Hellman, in which she revealed profound insight regarding the importance of the people and events that shaped her life. The estate is situated at the very top of the Montagne – Saint Émilion AOC, on the eastern side Bordeaux, which benefits from persistent airflow and strong breezes. This typical “Right Bank” Bordeaux blend is 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, and is produced organically, with manual harvesting, and natural yeasts for fermentation. This beautiful wine has aromas of dark fruits, including black cherries and currants. On the palate, there are structured tannins and complex flavors, making this wine ideal for red meat.
